Mother’s Day in 2021 is 14th March, hailing the start of Spring with the joyful appearance of daffodils and crocuses in parks and verges all around the UK, I’ve put together a gift guide of the best gifts for Mother’s Day, if your mum is an indoor plant lover. I’ve got a range of gorgeous plants, I’ll share a few of the top sellers in my shop and some gift ideas guaranteed to make her smile.
Unless your Mum is exceptionally green fingered, I always recommend gifting an easy care plant. One that will grow easily and happily in most spots. I have a range of ‘hard to kill’ house plants that should bloom happily on the shelf, desk or windowsill where they will live. So here are my top Mother’s Day gift ideas:
These pink, purple and green stripes plants are immensely popular. I have two sizes, a small, 8.5cm pot and a larger 17cm version which comes in a hanging pot. Super easy to look after and very rewarding with her beautiful leaves. Find her here.
Does she love plants but have an unlucky history with them? You cannot go wrong with a Snake Plant. Super tough plants which don’t need regular watering and do best when left alone. You can find one of these tough guys right here.
One of my all time favourite plants. With heart shaped leaves, these plants grow quickly, draping down the side of the pot and off shelves. They look amazing on a bookshelf or a macrame plant hanger which lets their long stems hang down. Although similar and often confused, philodendrons and pothos are different, the main obvious difference being the pothos’ larger leaves and thicker stems. They come in different varieties and colours – Philodendron Scandens is a lush dark green, Brasil a celebration of lime green and darker greens, much like the colours of the flag. Golden pothos is a dark green streaked with yellow tones and Pothos Njoy has smaller leaves in white and green.
The perfect present, all wrapped up beautifully for your Mum to open. All gift boxes include a plant, pot and wildflower seed bombs (ready for scattering and growing gorgeous wild blooms). The deluxe box also comes with a beautiful hand poured, vegan soy candle for hours worth of gorgeous scents to fill the home.
Keeping house plants happy often means creating a humid environment to mimic the happy rainforests they descend from. If your Mum’s urban jungle is already filled to the brim, a plant mister might be just what she needs to keep them happy! I have these beautiful plant misters in pink, green and clear – just pick the one she’d love!
Going full circle as trends do, dried flowers are hugely popular right now and may be the perfect decoration for the hallway, office or kitchen table. I have designs in nude or pink so you can pick the colour she’ll love the most.
I have a stock of stunning handmade letterpress cards drawn by the legendary botanical illustrator Charlotte Argyrou and letterpress guru Grania from Ink & Paper, which you can add to your order. I’ll hand write your message in it for you or leave it blank for you to add.
Hoping that’s a good few Mother’s Day gift ideas for you! The absolute last date for orders to arrive by Sunday is Wednesday 12th March as I ship with next day delivery with DHL Saturday delivery not guaranteed). If you’d like to add a note, please do at checkout and I’ll hand write it on a notecard or. letterpress card, if you’ve added one to your order.
